Economy Plus and Economy Class travellers can also carry two pieces of free check in baggage. Passengers need to ensure that no single baggage weighs over more than 23 kg. Similarly, the linear dimensions of every individual piece of baggage should not extend 32 inches. Passengers across all classes are permitted to carry one piece of free hand baggage. This baggage should not weigh more than 8 kg or exceed 45 inches in linear dimensions.
As of 27th February, 2011 the fleet strength of Air India fleet stood at 103 besides an outstanding order for 30 more aircrafts. This included 75 Boeing and 28 Airbus aircrafts.
