Cubbon Park: Cubbon Park is situated in 300 acres of land. The massive green parks and the lawns that are well maintained need special mention. The Park offers beautiful walk way. Lal Bagh: This botanical garden is one of the most beautiful botanical gardens you could find in India. The Glass House in the gardens was inspired by the London Crystal Palace. Spread across a sprawling 240 acres of land, the garden has above 1800 species of plants, herbs and trees. The lawn clock in the garden is the first of its kind in India and attracts tourist from across India.
Nandi Hills: Located 60 kms away from Bangalore, Nandi Hills is a perfect location to feel one with nature. Rivers Palar and Arkavathi originate from here. Bannerghatta National Park: Bannerghatta National Park is the most famous wildlife park and also one of the top tourist places in Bangalore. This park is spread in reserve forests of Anekal Range with an elevation of 1245 - 1634 m under the Bangalore Forest Division. Bannerghatta National Park was founded in 1971 and declared as a national park in 1974. Spread over an area of 25,000 acre and a portion of the park became a biological reserve called the Bannerghatta Biological Park in 2002. The park consists of the main Nature Reserve, a zoo, a children's park, an aquarium, a crocodile park, a museum, a butterfly park, a snake park and a safari park. The forest consists of deciduous trees and thorny scrubs.
WonderLa Amusement Park: At a distance of 26 Kms from Bangalore (towards Ramanagaram), Wonder La is an amusement park situated on Bangalore - Mysore Express way. It is India's biggest amusement and water park and also one of the most visited among Bangalore tourist places. Spread over 82 acres, the park offers over 50 kinds of rides - water sports and open rides. Attractions include musical fountain and laser show, virtual reality show, high thrill rides, kids' rides, heated wave pools, and numerous water rides. The Hurricane, Maverick, Wonder Splash, Techno Jump, Drop Zone rides are famous. Recently added Rain Disco, with 10,000 watts of hi-fidelity sound is a special attraction.
